Simple workflow

Convert an image to SVG in three steps

No tracing controls to learn—bring a suitable source and review the generated paths.

01

Upload

Choose one static PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP image up to 4 MB.

02

Convert

GlyPho analyzes the graphic and traces it into scalable SVG paths.

03

Download

Inspect the preview and download the SVG if it fits your project.

Prepare the source

Which images convert best?

The converter works best on logos, icons, stickers, and flat illustrations. Complex photographs can produce less useful paths.

Clear Edges

Use crisp shapes with visible boundaries instead of blur, grain, or soft shadows.

Limited Colors

A compact palette usually produces a cleaner, easier-to-edit vector result.

Simple Background

Plain or transparent-looking backgrounds help the main subject stay distinct during tracing.

Input files

Supported image formats

Upload one common raster image and receive a downloadable SVG.

PNG

A strong choice for logos, icons, stickers, and graphics with hard edges.

JPG / JPEG

Works best when the image has clear subjects and limited photographic detail.

WebP

Use modern web graphics with clean forms and enough source resolution.

After conversion

Where to use your SVG

A reviewed SVG can move into digital, brand, and lightweight production workflows.

Websites & Apps

Scale interface graphics and product visuals without tying them to one pixel size.

Logos & Branding

Create a vector starting point for simple marks, badges, and brand assets.

Print & Cricut

Prepare clean artwork for print or cutting workflows after checking paths and layers.

Raster vs. vector

Raster images and vector SVGs work differently

PNG, JPG, and WebP files describe an image with a fixed grid of pixels. Enlarging that grid eventually reveals blur or jagged edges, especially around small text and simple shapes.

SVG files describe artwork with mathematical paths that can scale without the same pixelation. Conversion recreates the source as paths rather than recovering an original design file, so colors, transparency, fine texture, and complex photo details may change.

Questions before converting

Image to SVG converter FAQ

Practical limits and file-handling details for this conversion workflow.

Which image formats can I convert to SVG?

You can upload static PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP images up to 4 MB. Animated PNG and WebP files are not supported. The converter returns a downloadable SVG when processing succeeds.

Will the SVG preserve every color exactly?

The model aims to preserve the source design, but tracing can simplify or remap colors. Review the result before using it in brand or production work.

Does image to SVG conversion preserve transparency?

Transparent areas may carry into the traced result when the source and generated paths support them, but transparency is not guaranteed. Inspect the preview before downloading.

Can I convert a complex photograph to SVG?

You can try, but detailed photographs, gradients, hair, shadows, and texture often create complex or less accurate paths. Logos, icons, stickers, and flat illustrations are a better fit.

Is the image to SVG converter free?

Your first anonymous conversion is free with no sign-up. Further conversions require an account and available credits.

When is my uploaded image removed?

The uploaded source is scheduled for deletion once the conversion completes or fails. Conversion records and sanitized SVG output are scheduled to expire after 24 hours.
